  1.    Buy from a reputable supplier. “Work with professionals who share your values and have an expertise in green, including suppliers.  Greenwashing is becoming a significant issue, so expertise, experience and ethics are important.”
  2.    Look beyond price. “A product could be cheaper due to unfair labor practices.  Buy locally made materials, and think about ways to reuse and recycle.”

Green Drinks Thousand Oaks/Ventura County was started in August 2008, to bring together people with a common interest in sustainability issues.  The popular monthly event where networking, socializing, informal information exchange, and mini-topic panel discussions, foster connections, raise awareness, and catalyzes the movement toward a more vibrant and sustainable Ventura County.

This month's event is being held at the newly relocated EcoLogic Life green design build showroom in the downtown Ventura Green Design Zone, and is cohosted by Main Course California Catering & Bistro.  

EcoLogic Life green design build showroom has been located in Ojai for 2 years bringing healthy, sustainable interior building materials and consulting to the region, and now celebrates it's re-opening in the new, more accessible downtown Ventura location for the convenience of its clients throughout the rest of Ventura county, Santa Barbara county and northern Los Angeles county and beyond.

Main Course Catering in Ventura is committed to providing the freshest, tastiest foods possible that are affordable, healthy, sustainable & locally grown whenever possible.  They support our California free range and organic meat ranchers and farmers, and incorporate business practices, such as deliveries on bicycle, to minimize their carbon footprint.
